Father Anupam Kher finds his son Sikander Kher as an "original actor"

Newcomer Sikander Kher 's two films Woodstock Villa and Summer 2007 -- may have bombed at the box office, but proud father anupam kher finds him as an "original actor" and wishes to share screen with him.

"Sikandar is a very hard working boy and has the capability of becoming an international actor. He is an original actor who is free from trappings of a typical Hindi film hero," says Kher.

Talking to reporters on the sideline of a function in New Delhi recently, the seasoned actor also expressed his desire to work with son Sikander in near future.

"I look forward to work with him. There are some scripts we are working on. Lets hope when it becomes possible," he said.

Sikander made his debut with Sanjay Gupta 's thriller 'Woodstock Villa,' but could prove his acting skill only in his recent film 'Summer 2007,' a film by first time director Suhai Tatari .

The movie tells the story of five medical students who undergo a rude awakening of sorts when they visit a village in Maharashtra and come across the misfortune of villagers.

Sikander has played a youth who undergoes a serious soul searching after observing the carefree attitude of society and the government towards the agrarian community.

"He is working on several scripts these days. But he is very choosy in selecting films. Though he is keen to work with all directors and all type of films but he is very cautious before going ahead with any project," says Kher.

Kher, who is busy in shooting schedules as about half a dozen films are queued up for release this year, expected to charm his audience with both comic and serious roles.

"I am working for five to six films right now and they are scheduled to hit the screens this year. Among them is 'Mr Bhatti On Chutti' which has been written and directed by my National School of Drama (NSD) friend Karan Razdan," he said.

Kher is playing double role one of a detective and another of an international terrorist in the movie which was extensively shot in Britain.

Among his other movies are target="_blank">God Tussi Great Ho , Victory , 'Striker' and 'Wednesday'.

Debutant director Rumi Jaffrey's 'God Tussi Great Ho' is a romantic-comedy which casts Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, while 'Wednesday' is based on the Mumbai train blasts.

The movie, which also features naseeruddin shah , will describe the events of the day last July when bombs ripped through the locals in India's financial capital, killing 187 people and injuring more than 800.
